What does the [BIG] course format mean?

[BIG] is a course format with large and detailed paintings. Each painting takes 3-5 hours long.

What the course is about

Throughout the course, you will learn how to use bold colours and fluid movements effectively to produce stunning works of art that radiate light and depth. You will discover how to plan and layer pours, use masking fluid to preserve highlights and integrate brushwork to add detail and texture.

The importance of value studies and colour planning will be emphasised to support your compositions, giving you the confidence to approach pouring with ease. You will also gain insights into overcoming common challenges such as blooms, backruns and muddiness, ensuring a smoother creative process.

Who will find this course useful

This course is ideal for watercolorists with some experience as well as adventurous beginners who are eager to try something new. No prior pouring experience is required—just a willingness to explore and play.

Artists who appreciate color, light, and unpredictability will find this course particularly rewarding. Expect to embrace a bit of messiness, be surprised by the creative journey, and walk away with a collection of landscapes that shimmer with energy and light, showcasing your growth as an artist.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I can't draw at all. Should I take the course?

Of course you should! The course is designed so that it starts with simple paintings and then progresses to more complex ones, allowing you to smoothly integrate into the process and achieve high results!

The course will also be beneficial for experienced artists. You will further refine your technique and enhance your visual understanding.

At the end of the lesson, you will upload a photo of your work. The teacher will have the opportunity to leave textual, graphic (annotations on the drawing), as well as audio comments on your work.

At the bottom of each lesson, there will be a comment section where you can ask any questions related to the learning process.

If you have a plan without feedback, it will depend on your personal pace at which you complete the lessons.

With plans that include feedback, we actively conduct lessons for two months from the moment you "unfreeze" the course.

Overall, I recommend taking the course at a relaxed pace. Enjoy the process more!

It's never too late to learn to draw. In our school, 30% of students are over 50 years old. They enjoy drawing, developing their skills, creative thinking, and rejuvenating their spirit and mind!
